About This Role

ROLE SUMMARY:

St. Peter’s International School, situated in Palmela near Lisbon, caters to approximately 1,500 students aged 4 months to 18 years on a contemporary 37,000 m² campus. The institution provides a bilingual curriculum (Portuguese/English), Cambridge programs, and the International Baccalaureate, along with boarding options for older students. We are in search of a dedicated and highly skilled IB Business and Economics Teacher to implement the IB Business Management and Economics curricula beginning in August for the upcoming academic year. This role presents a thrilling opportunity for an educator who is devoted to motivating students, encouraging critical thinking, and fostering a passion for learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Design and present engaging, differentiated lessons tailored for diverse learners.

• Implement innovative teaching strategies, including inquiry-based learning and digital resources.

• Evaluate student progress and offer constructive feedback.

• Participate in curriculum development and incorporate technology to enhance learning experiences.

• Promote a respectful and inclusive classroom environment while supporting student well-being.

• Collaborate with peers and engage in school events and extracurricular activities.

• Pursue continuous professional development and adhere to safeguarding policies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related discipline (a teaching qualification is preferred).

• Experience in teaching IB Business Management and/or Economics (or comparable international curricula).

• A strong desire to inspire students and encourage both academic and personal development.

• Outstanding communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities.

• Experience in an international or multicultural setting (preferred).

• Proficient command of English and a commitment to student welfare.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
