The Position
Aldar Education is on the lookout for a talented Special Education Needs Teacher. This opening is situated at ADNOC School - Madinat Zayed Campus.

Key Responsibilities:
• Fostering a learning environment that promotes exceptional teaching practices
• Establishing clear teaching and learning goals
• Designing tasks that engage students and maintain high levels of interest
• Setting appropriate and challenging expectations
• Defining clear objectives that build on prior achievements
• Recognizing students with special educational needs or exceptional abilities and ensuring their requirements are met through differentiated instruction
• Structuring lessons effectively to maintain pace, motivation, and challenge
• Utilizing assessment strategies to enhance learning
• Analyzing performance data and key indicators to inform lesson planning and provide differentiated instruction
• Upholding discipline in line with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and promoting positive behaviors related to punctuality, conduct, work standards, and homework
• Employing a range of teaching methods to:
i. Tailor the approach to content, organize information, highlight key ideas, and use appropriate terminology
ii. Facilitate effective questioning, actively listen to students, and address errors and misconceptions
iii. Choose suitable learning resources and cultivate study skills through the library, ICT, and other educational technologies
• Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using this information to refine specific teaching aspects
• Grading student assignments at least bi-weekly and setting progress targets
• Leveraging performance data to inform planning and ensure continued value-added learning and teaching
• Systematically assessing and recording student progress, maintaining records to verify understanding and completion, monitor strengths and areas for improvement, inform planning, and recognize student achievement levels
• Conducting assessments as required by examination bodies, departmental protocols, and school policies
• Preparing and delivering informative reports to parents
• Participating in subject development through the creation, review, and updating of curriculum plans and teaching schemes
• Keeping subject knowledge current through continuous professional development and professional reading
• Attending relevant professional development workshops
• Assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or Vice Principal as needed.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must be a fully qualified teacher with:
• A passion for and dedication to education
• A Bachelor’s degree in Special Needs Education or a related field, along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience
• Familiarity with the American curriculum
• A commitment to a comprehensive enrichment program
• Recent involvement in extracurricular activities
• Respect for all members of the school community
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language
• A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life
• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services or Police check
