About This Role

Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Physics Teacher for immediate placement.

Al Rabeeh Academy, a stunning purpose-designed school that opened its doors in August 2017, is part of a growing network of educational institutions. The Al Rabeeh name has been associated with exceptional education and pastoral care within the city since 1979. Our institution is a member of the British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering outstanding opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and professional development.

As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy provides the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic instruction. Ideal candidates will be dedicated team players who possess the energy, drive, and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, with potential for internal promotion as the academy expands.

Candidates must have a solid grasp of the ethos and values upheld at Al Rabeeh Academy, which has a significant number of Arabic-speaking students. The chosen applicant will be an effective communicator, skilled in fostering open dialogue with students, colleagues, and parents. It is essential that applicants lead by example and engage fully in the Academy’s extracurricular activities.

Applicants should be fluent in English, possess a relevant science degree and a PGCE, and have at least 2 years of teaching experience in schools that implement the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Strong subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK initiatives and developments
• A genuine passion and ambition to help each student thrive academically
• Capability to teach KS3 and KS4, with experience delivering Science up to GCSE
• Experience with A-level teaching is preferred but not mandatory
• A proven record of enhancing student attainment and achievement
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• Ability to support creative learning while focusing on developing 21st Century skills and innovative learning environments
• Proficiency in using IT to enhance and motivate student learning experiences
• Experience utilizing data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external evaluations to monitor student progress
• Experience teaching EAL students is preferred, though not required
• Experience as a form tutor is preferred, but not essential
