About This Role

Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Chemistry Teacher to start immediately.

Al Rabeeh Academy is a stunning, purpose-built institution that opened its doors in August 2017 and is part of an expanding network of schools. Since 1979, the Al Rabeeh name has been associated with high-quality education and exceptional pastoral care throughout the city. Our school is a proud member of British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), which offers fantastic opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and continued professional development (CPD).

As a bilingual private school catering to students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy delivers the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. We are looking for candidates who are dedicated team players, possessing the drive, energy, and passion to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, with potential for internal promotion as the academy expands.

Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which serves a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to foster open lines of communication with students, staff, and parents. Applicants should lead by example and actively participate in the Academy's extracurricular activities program.

Candidates must be fluent in English, hold a relevant science degree along with a PGCE, and have at least two years of teaching experience in schools that adhere to the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants should be able to showcase:

• Comprehensive subject knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK educational initiatives and developments
• A passion and ambition to help every student thrive in their learning
• The capability to teach KS3 and KS4, with experience delivering Science up to GCSE
• Experience in teaching ‘A’ levels is preferred but not mandatory
• A proven record of enhancing student attainment and achievement
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• The ability to support creative learning while focusing on developing 21st Century learning environments and innovation skills
• Proficiency in using IT to enhance and extend student learning experiences
• Experience with data from internal assessments and standardized tests to monitor student progress
• Experience teaching EAL students is appreciated, but not required
• Experience as a form tutor is also desirable but not essential
