Position: Prep SENCO/Head of Prep Learning Support
Type: Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo)
Role Overview:
As the Prep SENCO/Head of Prep Learning Support, you will be responsible for coordinating support for pupils with SEND across the Preparatory School. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure that every child receives tailored support to thrive academically and personally.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine interest in special educational needs and disabilities coordination.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Organisational skills to manage records, assessments, and individual education plans (IEPs).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children’s diverse learning needs.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training related to SEND coordination if not already qualified.
