About This Role

Epsom College in Malaysia is looking to recruit a Physics Teacher for the upcoming academic year, starting in August 2025.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics Teacher to become a part of our Physics Department, which comprises four educators. The Department is supported by two technicians and is well-equipped to provide a range of practical experiences. The successful candidate should have a strong passion for Physics and the capability to inspire students in Key Stage 3 Science, Edexcel IGCSE, and Edexcel International A-Level. Your role will involve delivering engaging and challenging lessons, aiding students in achieving their full potential, and contributing to the broader academic and extracurricular activities at the College.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver high-quality Physics lessons tailored for students of various ages and abilities, following the scheme of learning and course timelines.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
- Prepare students for their IGCSE and A-Level Physics examinations, ensuring they achieve optimal results.
- Monitor students’ academic progress by providing regular feedback and support.
- Collaborate with fellow Science Department colleagues to create innovative teaching resources and methodologies.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.

Qualifications and Experience:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Physics is essential; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or its equivalent) is preferred.
- Proven experience teaching Physics at Key Stage 3 Science, IGCSE, and A-Level within an international or British curriculum school.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Physics and dedication to student-centered education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with the school community.
- Experience with modern teaching methods and the integration of technology in the classroom.
