Al Basma is a well-regarded and highly sought-after ENC School, and we are looking for a Chemistry specialist with A level experience to join our successful Secondary Science team.
Currently, our seven-form entry school serves over 2000 students ranging from FS1 to Year 13. In September 2020, we inaugurated a state-of-the-art Primary block for Years 3 to 6.

We adhere to the National Curriculum of England and, in EYFS, we implement the updated 2020 Development Matters Framework. For students in Years 4 to 10, we utilize both GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests. Additionally, we provide a selection of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and A Levels from Cambridge, Edexcel, and Pearson exam boards for our older students. We have also started introducing a variety of BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways.
Al Basma received its initial BSO (British Schools Overseas) accreditation in May 2016 during its second operational year and has continued to enhance its offerings, achieving a good rating with an increasing number of outstanding features in May 2022. Since January 2017, the school has consistently received Band A ratings in the ADEK Irtiq'aa inspections. Most recently, in February 2022, we solidified our Very Good ADEK rating with a significant number of outstanding features.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education for Years 7 to 13 with a Maths specialization and QTS or equivalent.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Maths or a closely related area, accompanied by an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Maths and QTS or equivalent.
or
• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline, with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Maths with QTS or equivalent, along with two years of experience teaching Secondary Maths.
Please note that successful applicants must provide two supporting references (including from the most recent employer) and a police clearance certificate, ACRO, or DBS issued within the last three months.
