About This Role

Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teacher of Humanities to start immediately.

Al Rabeeh Academy is a modern, purpose-built institution that opened its doors in August 2017 and is part of an expanding network of schools. The Al Rabeeh name has been recognized in the city for its commitment to high-quality education and exceptional pastoral care since 1979. Our academy is affiliated with British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering fantastic opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and professional development.

As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy delivers the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic team players who possess the drive, energy, and passion to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, where there may be potential for career advancement as the academy expands.

Successful candidates will need to align with the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which serves a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, adept at fostering open lines of communication with students, staff, and parents. Applicants should lead by example and fully engage in the Academy’s extracurricular activities program.

Candidates must be fluent in English, hold a relevant degree and a PGCE, and possess at least 2 years of teaching experience in schools following the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

• Strong subject knowledge of the British National Curriculum
• Familiarity with current UK initiatives and educational developments
• A passion and ambition to ensure each student thrives in their learning
• Capability to teach KS3 and KS4
• Experience with 'A' levels is preferred, but not required
• A proven track record of enhancing student attainment and achievement
• High levels of student engagement, challenge, and progress
• The ability to support creative learning while focusing on developing 21st Century learning environments and innovation skills
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance and expand student learning experiences
• Experience in utilizing data from internal assessments, standardized tests, and external assessments to monitor student progress
• Experience teaching EAL students is preferred, but not essential
