About This Role

Position Overview: We are on the lookout for a committed and energetic Housemaster/Housemistress (HMM) to become a vital part of our international boarding school community. Reporting to the Deputy Head (Pastoral) and the Headmaster, the HMM will be essential in overseeing the resources, organization, and administration of the House. This role is key to maintaining the safety, discipline, and overall welfare of all students, which are crucial to our College's success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Pastoral Care: Deliver outstanding pastoral support to all students, recognizing their individual needs, strengths, and areas for growth to promote their development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teaching staff to ensure that students’ backgrounds and circumstances enhance their learning experiences.
- Academic Support: Track students’ academic progress and assist with online learning, providing support to both Tutors and students.
- Counselling: Provide guidance on emotional, academic, social, or behavioral issues in partnership with the College Counsellor.
- Safeguarding: Follow the College’s Child Protection Policy and report any concerns to the Deputy Head (Pastoral), keeping precise records on our safeguarding platform, ‘CPOMS’.
- Behaviour Management: Enforce the College's Behavior Policy, applying a balanced system of rewards and consequences that fosters a positive House atmosphere.
- General Administration: Oversee daily operations within the House, including registration, attendance tracking, and coordinating with medical staff on students’ health matters.
- Parent Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for parents, ensuring they are well informed about their child's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Team Leadership: Guide a team of tutors and staff, ensuring they are acquainted with child protection policies and fostering a safe environment.
- Facilities Management: Collaborate with the Bursar and facilities personnel to uphold House standards, ensuring a safe and appealing living space for all students.
