About This Role

Carlton le Willows Academy is seeking to hire a Head of Department for Computing to join our team in September 2026, on a full-time, permanent basis.

With a strong track record of high academic performance, Carlton le Willows ranks as one of the top schools in the area, achieving the best results in the school's history this past summer. In 2025, 85% of students attained a Grade 4 or higher in English and Maths, significantly above the national average of 65%. Additionally, 69% of students achieved a strong pass (Grade 5 or above) in these core subjects, far exceeding the national average of 46%, placing us well ahead of comparable schools across the nation.

Our high-performing sixth form also celebrated impressive A-level results, with over 91% of students securing places at their first-choice universities, reinforcing our reputation for excellence beyond year 11.

Compensation

MPR / UPR, (£32,916 to £51,048) with an additional TLR2c payment of £8,611.00.
