ABC Private School in Abu Dhabi, a well-regarded and sought-after ENC School, is on the lookout for a dedicated Geography teacher to enhance our vibrant Secondary team starting in January.

For the academic year 2024/25, each year group in our Secondary section is set to have seven classes, as we expand to accommodate up to 2,500 students from FS1 to Y13, representing over 16 different nationalities.

ABC relocated to its current campus in Al Shamkha, Abu Dhabi in 2016. The school’s ownership is committed to continuous investment and improvement, aiming for BSO accreditation within the next twelve months, which will allow us to offer ECT Statutory Induction in the future. Our facilities are exceptional and well-resourced.

Our Principal, Mrs. Allison McDonald, recently joined ABC after a successful tenure at Al Basma British School, where she led the school from satisfactory to very good, highlighting many outstanding features during her nine years there. An experienced Principal in the UAE, Mrs. McDonald emphasizes a holistic educational approach, focusing on nurturing each student's talents, sparking their curiosity, and fostering a love for learning. She fully supports ABC's dedication to inclusivity and providing a nurturing environment that empowers students to explore, innovate, and thrive.

ABC adheres to the 2014 National Curriculum of England and the revised 2020 Development Matters Framework for EYFS. We utilize both GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Years 4 to 10. Additionally, we offer a variety of GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel for our older students. Starting in September 2024, we aim to introduce a selection of BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways for our students.

Most recently, in February 2022, the school received a good rating in the ADEK inspection.

- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and QTS or equivalent.
or
- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Geography or a closely related subject, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Geography with any subject specialism and QTS or equivalent.
or
- An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any subject paired with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Geography with QTS or equivalent, plus one year of teaching experience in Geography.
