Chemistry Teacher

Epsom College in Malaysia is on the lookout for a passionate and energetic Chemistry Teacher to join our team. The successful applicant will have a strong enthusiasm for Chemistry and the capability to motivate students at Key Stage 3 Science, Edexcel IGCSE, and Edexcel International A-Level. Your role will involve providing stimulating and rigorous lessons, guiding students to achieve their highest potential, and actively participating in the broader academic and extracurricular life of the College.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver exceptional Chemistry lessons tailored to students of varying ages and abilities, in line with the learning scheme and course schedules.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic success.
- Prepare students for their IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry exams, ensuring they attain the best possible outcomes.
- Monitor and engage with students' academic development, offering regular feedback and assistance.
- Collaborate with fellow Science Department colleagues to create innovative teaching materials and methods.
- Attend departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events.
- Contribute to and support the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry is essential; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience in teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 Science, IGCSE, and A-Level within an international or British curriculum school is required.
- A genuine enthusiasm for Chemistry and a dedication to student-centered education.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a team and enhance the school community.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and the integration of technology in the classroom.
