About the Role:
In the role of Head of Department for MFL, you will take charge of the French language curriculum from KS3 to KS5. Your responsibilities will include curriculum development, ensuring high-quality teaching practices, fostering staff growth within your department, and maintaining high standards of student performance. This position necessitates strong leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of teaching French in alignment with the UK curriculum.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of secondary school experience teaching French, with the ability to teach KS3 Spanish as well.
- Demonstrated capacity to inspire and lead a team.
- In-depth knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for languages.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning preferences.
- Proficiency in effectively utilizing educational technology tools.
