Teacher Requirements and Experience:
•
Possess a bachelor’s degree pertinent to the teaching subject or an equivalent qualification
•
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent credential
•
Demonstrate robust subject knowledge and passion for your subject that you are eager to share with our students
•
Experience in teaching GCSE and A Level
•
A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, although we welcome applications from new educators aiming for excellence
•
Ability to deliver consistently inspiring lessons with a proven track record of achieving outstanding results
•
Exhibit a highly collaborative spirit and possess strong communication skills
•
Show evidence of commitment to recent professional development relevant to this position

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Head of Sixth Form:
•
Assist in tracking and evaluating student progress regarding their ECAs, Work Experience, and overall Kings’ Diploma.
•
Oversee super-curricular development and monitoring, specifically coaching our MEAE, Oxbridge, and Ivy League candidates in partnership with the Head of Careers and MEAE lead.
•
Manage the Extended Project Qualification comprehensively.
•
Collaborate with Heads of Year to enhance the Sixth Form curriculum, ensuring it addresses the varied needs and interests of students.
•
Aid in creating and executing programs and initiatives that equip students with essential life skills. This includes developing enriching opportunities for BTEC students outside their curricular time to enhance their community contributions.
•
Work together with subject leaders and teachers to deliver a high-quality, tailored ‘skills’ curriculum.
•
Support Heads of Year in the ongoing development of a thorough pastoral care system to promote the well-being of Sixth Form students.
•
Analyze data related to student performance, attendance, and behavior, assisting in the design of pastoral interventions.
•
Assist the Head of Sixth Form with the establishment and execution of policies and procedures.
•
Support the Head of Sixth Form in the interview process for prospective students from outside Kings’.
•
Aid the Head of Sixth Form in interviewing Year 11 Kings’ students for Sixth Form placements.
•
Assist the Head of Sixth Form in the administration of GCSE results and confirming subject selections.
