About This Role

All successful candidates will be required to undergo enhanced child protection screening relevant to the position. This includes various background checks such as obtaining high-quality references, verifying qualifications, and completing identification and police checks, including checks from overseas. No staff member can begin work until all these checks are finalized, which typically takes around a month.

Harrow International School Dubai is on the lookout for a well-organized and detail-oriented Data Manager to manage school data, examinations, and digital information systems.

This is an essential position for a candidate who is analytical, proactive, and adept at navigating a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all examination entries within the school
- Liaise with teachers regarding student entries
- Communicate with students about exam entries and timetables
- Organize and oversee all exams in collaboration with staff
- Develop the Invigilation/Proctor timetable in cooperation with staff
- Administer 'Online' services from Exam Boards
- Oversee school 'baseline testing' - CAT/MAP/ISA
- Administer TIMMS and PIRLS and/or PISA assessments
- Aid in the analysis of all external examination results
- Assist in generating school-wide and departmental data for analysis
- Help produce internal school data for evaluation
- Contribute to data for the school SEF – DSIB/Ithica/CIS/BSO
- Monitor trends and anomalies within the school
- Handle statistical reporting related to 'baseline' testing/TIMMS and PIRLS/PISA data
- Support the Principal and SLT with accurate data for various reports to Taaleem Central Office, KHDA, etc.
- Prepare relevant data for school report cards
- Manage and maintain the School Information System (iSAMS)
- Oversee the school assessment and tracking systems (iTRACK, Go4Schools, Managebac)
- Maintain additional supporting school applications as necessary
- Prepare and manage processes for the start and end of the academic year
- Coordinate the integration and ongoing enhancement of relevant data, processes, and procedures into the school’s existing information management framework
- Assist in setting up and maintaining the School Timetable in iSAMS
- Implement new iSAMS modules
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Monitor user access and security
- Provide general task support to system users
- Import assessment data (e.g., CAT4, GL Progress Test, and internal assessment data)
- Collaborate with the IT Department on all technical aspects of school applications, including the implementation of new systems/modules, upgrades, maintaining users/accounts, and troubleshooting issues
- Develop standard operating procedures and best practices for the ongoing maintenance and use of iSAMS, including providing written protocols and guidance to relevant stakeholders
- Offer feedback on system integrations
- Provide necessary training and support to various stakeholder groups regarding system usage, including in-service training for new teachers
- Assist with other IT-related activities as required

Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analysis, Statistics, or a related field

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a data administration role within a school, college, university, or a related business environment focused on data and statistics

Competencies:

- Proficient in IT (including Excel spreadsheets) to support all data requirements of the school
- Ability to communicate and interpret data trends effectively to staff
- Capability to utilize data to aid the school’s development
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills
- Competence in using computer software such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other relevant programs for educational and business purposes
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for daily interactions with a diverse, multicultural community
- Capacity to multitask and work creatively, independently, and under pressure
