North London Collegiate School Jeju is in search of a Senior School Teacher of English.

We are looking for an English Teacher to join our dynamic English Department in the Senior School at NLCS Jeju.

The role of Senior School Teacher of English entails planning and delivering exceptional lessons for Key Stage 3, IGCSE, and IBDP English. Applicants must have experience teaching IBDP English A.

Candidates who are successful in this application will become part of a large team of educators, some of whom hold additional responsibilities, within a high-achieving and academically rigorous department that ensures our students receive a consistently high standard of education. This position will also include responsibilities as a Senior School Form Tutor.

NLCS Jeju is dedicated to a holistic approach to education, offering a variety of popular clubs, services, and societies throughout the week, including Saturday mornings. The successful applicant will be expected to actively engage in the co-curricular activities of the school, which includes supporting evening and weekend events throughout the academic year.

THE NLCS INTERNATIONAL FAMILY OF SCHOOLS

Founded in 1850 by Frances Mary Buss, North London Collegiate School (UK) has a long-standing tradition of providing an academically ambitious education for girls. For over 160 years, the School has led the way in delivering aspirational and high-achieving education for women, consistently ranking among the best schools in the UK. Its exam results frequently lead UK league tables, and the School boasts impressive Oxbridge success rates.

NLCS Jeju was the inaugural international school of the NLCS family, established in 2011. This was followed by the opening of NLCS Dubai in 2017 and NLCS (Singapore) in 2020. The latest addition to the NLCS International family is NLCS Kobe in Japan, which commenced operations in August 2025.

Distinguished from many UK independent schools, NLCS maintains a strong commitment to fostering connections with its international branches. Efforts are made to replicate the ethos and standards of NLCS in its overseas locations. Staff for international schools are typically interviewed in London by NLCS (UK) personnel alongside representatives from the overseas institutions. All appointed teachers are invited to London for induction and training at the UK school, with costs covered by our partners. Once an overseas branch is operational, it undergoes regular monitoring and inspection by the UK school, fostering connections through student and staff exchanges, joint departmental initiatives, educational visits, and extracurricular collaborations like videoconference debates and co-created student publications.

NLCS International actively seeks talented and ambitious education professionals to join our network, offering numerous opportunities for professional development and career advancement within our distinguished group of schools.
