Floater Primary Teacher
About This Role
OUR SCHOOL
Collegio San Carlo is an independent Catholic institution and one of the esteemed educational establishments in Milan, having celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 2019. This role presents a distinctive chance to become part of an educational community that is deeply intertwined with the city’s heritage, blending tradition and innovation across all educational streams for a diverse student population of nearly 2000.
The “Intercultural Programme” at Collegio San Carlo caters to students from K to Year 13 and is divided into five distinct high school streams, including the IBDP.
The primary aim of this program is to merge a robust international bilingual curriculum with the framework set by the Italian Ministry of Education, delivering 50% of the subjects in English through a thoughtfully designed and integrated approach. Each Intercultural class features a co-teaching model with both English and Italian educators. English teachers are responsible for instructing subjects such as English, Geography, Science, Creative Arts, and Digital Studies, while specialist fluent English-speaking instructors also conduct PE and Music classes.
The Floater teacher will join the Primary Team, providing support across all grades as needed, including ESL assistance, substitute teaching, special projects, and school trips (both day excursions and longer journeys to the UK or within Italy). This role offers the chance to engage in a dynamic and collaborative segment of the school, making it ideal for candidates who excel in teamwork, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate effective classroom management abilities.
