About This Role
The Role
The Subject Teacher will be accountable to the Head of Department and is tasked with enhancing the subject across all grade levels within the school. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong organizational abilities and be an enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative educator who embraces diverse teaching methods in alignment with the vision and goals of this bilingual institution.
This position is part of a team of specialized subject teachers, which is anticipated to expand significantly as student enrollment grows. The teacher will play an integral role in the development of the subject throughout all educational stages within the school.
Key responsibilities encompass:

Teaching and Learning
•
Tutoring and Pastoral Care
•
A distinguished degree with a primary focus on the relevant subject
•
A recognized teaching qualification
•
A minimum of two years of teaching experience
Requirements:
•
Native English proficiency;
•
At least two years of experience teaching the subject, with the ability to instruct students aged 11-18;
•
Excellent communication skills in English for interaction with students, colleagues, and parents, with the ability to facilitate interpretation into Chinese when necessary, fostering strong relationships within the school community;
•
Capacity to collaborate effectively with others;
•
Familiarity with a range of teaching resources, including digital tools that enhance the teaching and learning experience;
•
Awareness of the cultural nuances present in China and a readiness to adopt and sustain a cross-cultural approach in the workplace;
•
A commitment to actively engage in the broader life of the students and the school beyond academic hours, including participation in academic enrichment and co-curricular initiatives;
•
Experience with A-Level or IGCSE students is advantageous.
