Aldar Academies is currently in search of an exceptional Teacher - Inclusion for Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in August 2026.

Mamoura British Academy is a British curriculum institution that serves mixed genders until Year 8, transitioning to a girls-only setting from Year 9 onward. Main Duties

Key Task:

To deliver inspiring lessons that empower students to achieve their utmost potential.

Roles and responsibilities include:

Teamwork and collaboration

- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Foster positive relationships with all members of the school community.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design engaging lessons that align with curriculum requirements.
- Work flexibly alongside fellow teachers and staff.
- Partner with parents to ensure student well-being and optimal academic outcomes.
- Collaborate with curriculum support personnel (when applicable) to aid in children's development.

Specific Duties

Teaching and learning:

- Maintain a solid understanding of the curriculum.
- Organize classroom resources and create displays to foster an engaging learning environment.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions that address the diverse abilities within the class.
- Inspire students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
- Observe and assess children according to school standards.
- Reflect on classroom practices, progress, and adapt the environment and planning as necessary.
- Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when required.
- Ensure the incorporation of Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and principles throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and data:

- Take charge of the progress of a class.
- Adhere to assessment and recording requirements for students’ development using Target Tracker.
- Utilize assessment data to inform future planning, provisions, and interventions.
- Offer feedback to parents and guardians on student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour management and duties:

- Implement the school's behaviour policy.
- Manage classrooms effectively, employing strategies that cater to students' needs to motivate and challenge them.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary within the school's behaviour framework.
- Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviours expected of students.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, fostering self-control and independence among all learners.
- Execute duties as directed in accordance with school policy.

Wider professional responsibilities:

- Participate in a curriculum action group to support planning, assessment, resource development, and special events related to that team.
- Assist in organizing and participating in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur on weekends or evenings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS when appropriate.
- Make a valuable contribution to the broader life and ethos of the school.
- Lead a weekly ECA each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE or other teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

- At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

- Prior experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.
- A passion for teaching and a dedication to the holistic development of children.
- A high level of professionalism and a focus on children's well-being.
- Consistent and recent involvement in extracurricular activities.
- Respect for all individuals within the school community, regardless of position, gender, age, or ethnic background.
- A positive, solution-oriented approach to professional life.
- A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
