About This Role
About Saint Too Bloom Academy
Saint Too Bloom Academy is an innovative secondary school located in Hong Kong, focused on entrepreneurship, bilingual education, and modern approaches to learning. Our institution, crafted by a dedicated team of educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs, aims to equip young individuals to excel in an ever-evolving world.
Following the founding of our sister institution, Bloom KKCA Academy, in 2021, we have set the standard for bilingual, interdisciplinary, and project-based education, forging collaborations across the education, business, and social innovation sectors. In 2024, we broadened our offerings to include a secondary campus, providing Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programs alongside a school-specific Key Stage 3 curriculum. Additionally, we introduced two new pathways—the HKDSE and a US-accredited project-based route—to cater to our diverse learners.
We are now seeking passionate educators in Science and Mathematics who are dedicated to empowering students as we develop a forward-thinking program.
Position Overview
We are in search of an enthusiastic, capable, and experienced Science and Mathematics Teacher to instruct our students in these disciplines. The teacher will be accountable for creating and delivering captivating lessons that align with our curriculum standards, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and instilling a love for Science and Mathematics. Ideal candidates will showcase effective teaching skills and be prepared to take on a leadership role in pedagogy as our program grows.
• Teach Science and Mathematics to students in Grades 7–9, including IGCSE and A-Level (CIE and Edexcel), ensuring adherence to international standards.
• Design and implement engaging lessons that are developmentally appropriate and differentiate instruction to cater to the varied needs of students.
• Incorporate experiential learning and experimentation through our Makerspace, inspiring students to apply scientific concepts through construction, prototyping, and inquiry-based projects.
• Collaborate with the STEAM Advisor and the wider interdisciplinary team to link science education with real-world applications.
• Plan, instruct, and coordinate STEAM Studio classes that investigate career pathways and the industry applications of science via project-based learning and partnerships.
• Provide clear guidance and oversight for safe and effective laboratory experiments and scientific inquiries.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the G7–G9 science and mathematics curriculum, including unit design, assessments, scope and sequence documentation, and resource creation.
• Employ both formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and modify instruction to improve learning outcomes.
• Keep precise documentation of student learning using approved curriculum templates and contribute to student portfolios.
