We are actively seeking passionate Secondary Teachers for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 who can inspire student-led learning and make a significant difference.

NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is looking for a GEOGRAPHY TEACHER to join our Secondary team, dedicated to fostering exceptional teaching and learning in Geography.

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of Geography, your responsibilities will encompass:

• Leading initiatives to boost student engagement and enhance school spirit.

• Supporting enrichment activities and school events.

• Facilitating effective communication and progress updates to involve parents.

• Delivering captivating, inclusive, and impactful lessons.

• Fostering creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.

• Utilizing data-driven strategies to accommodate diverse learning requirements.

• Integrating digital tools to enrich learning experiences.

• Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.

• Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the curriculum.

• Conducting thorough assessments and providing timely feedback.

• Participating in curriculum development and quality assurance.

• Engaging in continuous professional development.

• Reflecting on teaching practices to enhance effectiveness.

• Upholding school values and contributing to a positive school culture.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant degree with a PGCE in Geography.

• Qualified Teacher Status.

• Experience as a qualified teacher in a UK and/or international context.

• Training in Geography or a related qualification.

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.

• An understanding of student learning and development related to Geography.

• Awareness of current educational trends in Geography.

• Evidence of knowledge regarding broader educational developments.

• Experience in improving standards for all student groups.

• Skills in planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating lessons as part of the school curriculum.

• Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and relevant subject matter.

• Knowledge of assessment and reporting protocols.

• Understanding of IGCSE, A Level, and IB syllabi and their associated examination processes.

• Ability to incorporate technology to enhance student learning experiences.

• A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.

• Compliance with visa regulations for employment.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, along with a readiness to undertake necessary child protection training.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
