About This Role

ROLE SUMMARY:

Situated in Cascais, King's College School is a distinguished institution that is part of the Inspired Education Group, acknowledged as a premier international school in the Lisbon area. We offer a well-rounded global education based on the Cambridge International curriculum up to Year 10, along with a bilingual Portuguese–English program through Year 5. Our commitment to academic rigor and holistic development prepares students for success at leading universities worldwide.

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher of Media Studies (A Level) and English to join our faculty for the forthcoming academic year. This position entails launching our A Level Media Studies program next year for a chosen group of students eager to engage with this subject. The ideal candidate will be integrated into our English department and will also teach several English classes throughout the Senior School. We encourage applications from seasoned Media Studies (A Level) educators who can instruct an additional subject outside of English; candidates should clearly specify this in their CVs and Cover Letters.

You will design engaging and stimulating lessons in both Media Studies and English, fostering critical thinking, analytical skills, creativity, and a profound understanding of media, culture, and literature. As a part of the Inspired global network, you will benefit from the support of your colleagues and have access to extensive professional development opportunities, while also contributing to the wider academic and pastoral environment of the school.

Additionally, you may be interested in joining our in-person Inspired Careers Event in London on Saturday, January 24, 2026. This event will showcase our school alongside more than 30 other UK and international Inspired schools, all eager to connect with educators seeking new roles starting in August 2026.
