Speech Language Pathologist
About This Role
Position Description: The Speech Language Pathologist will become an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Student Services Department at the School District of Mystery Lake. This position requires close collaboration with school teams to promote student learning. Key responsibilities encompass conducting assessments, creating programming, and providing consultative services. The Speech Language Pathologist will benefit from a well-stocked library that includes a diverse range of assessment tools, therapy resources, and materials. The successful candidate will work alongside another experienced Speech Language Pathologist and a team of trained support staff. This role is governed by the Teacher’s Collective Agreement and is aligned with the academic calendar.
Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must hold or be in the process of acquiring membership with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM).
• Eligibility for the School Clinician’s Certificate.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and Manitoba Education.
Conditions of Employment:
• A satisfactory Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check is mandatory.
• A satisfactory Manitoba Child Abuse Registry Check is required.
The compensation package is among the most competitive in the province, with salary determined in accordance with our current collective agreement.
