Special Educational Needs Coordinator
About This Role
St. George's British International School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and skilful Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven successful experience as a classroom teacher.
Strong knowledge of SEND best practice, the UK SEND Code of Practice, and evidence‑based intervention strategies.
Experience coordinating provision for pupils with a range of SEND needs, including creating, implementing, and reviewing IEPs/EHCP targets.
Ability to lead, support, and coach teachers and teaching assistants in inclusive practice and differentiation.
Strong skills in assessment, progress tracking, and data analysis to monitor outcomes for pupils with SEND.
Excellent communication skills, with experience building positive relationships with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, manage caseloads, maintain accurate records, and meet statutory deadlines.
