We are currently looking for a Senior Vice Principal (Curriculum, Standards & Assessment) to join us in August 2026. The selected candidate will hold a vital leadership position in shaping and steering the school’s strategic vision for curriculum development, assessment frameworks, academic standards, and student outcomes across Early Years, Primary, Middle School, and High School.
As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the postholder will stand in for the Principal/CEO as necessary and ensure GIS provides a coherent, rigorous, and future-oriented curriculum that aligns with the IB continuum, KHDA requirements, CIS accreditation, and GEMS quality benchmarks.
The role encompasses whole-school responsibilities, including:
- Curriculum intent, design, and coherence across all educational phases
- Development of assessment strategies, systems, and reporting, including both internal and external benchmarking
- Oversight of academic standards, outcomes, and data accuracy
- Management of accreditation, compliance, and alignment with inspection frameworks
- Assurance that the teaching, assessment, and reporting processes are consistent, rigorous, and aligned with strategic priorities

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction for curriculum, assessment, and academic standards across the entire school.
- Represent GIS and act on behalf of the Principal/CEO as needed, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including KHDA, IB, and accreditation organizations.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the School Development Plan (SDP), School Self-Evaluation Framework (SEF), and related academic initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Vice Principal – Teaching & Learning to ensure a cohesive approach to academic excellence.
- Work in partnership with the Senior Vice Principal – Student Life & Culture to ensure that curriculum and assessment systems foster inclusive, student-centered outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of KHDA/DSIB frameworks, IB program standards and practices, and UAE National Agenda requirements.
