Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, tailored to respect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school delivers a continuous educational path from Early Years through Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with robust pastoral care and a focus on personal growth.

The DBS curriculum, offered at all educational levels, is designed to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, balancing academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Candidates must have:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A certified teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-specific bachelor’s degree).


Excellent subject knowledge, with significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in delivering International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level courses.


A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.


A strong commitment to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular activities.
