About This Role

We are seeking a passionate, flexible and caring teacher to join our team in a 0.6 relieving position (3 days per week) within our kura. This is a part-time (0.6FTTE) fixed term role for the remainder of the 2026 school year.


This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside a highly supportive team, providing meaningful learning experiences for students with a range of intellectual, physical, and complex needs.



  • An experienced NZ registered teacher with a current practising certificate.

  • Builds positive, respectful relationships with neurodiverse learners

  • Is patient, adaptable, and solutions-focused

  • Has strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

  • Is confident working collaboratively with therapists, teacher aides, and whānau

  • Brings creativity and enthusiasm to differentiated learning programmes


In this role, you will



  • Provide classroom release for a senior leader.

  • Support continuity of learning in a safe, inclusive environment

  • Contribute to a team culture grounded in manaakitanga and respect


Experience in a specialist or inclusive education setting is an advantage, but not essential for the right person.
