Job Overview
This role focuses on high-quality teaching of Physics at AS/A Level, while supporting the wider curriculum through KS3 Science and Mathematics. The teacher will promote analytical thinking, problem-solving, and a strong foundation in scientific and mathematical concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physics at AS/A Level, preparing students for external examinations.
- Deliver KS3 Science and Mathematics, ensuring strong foundational knowledge.
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical, and concept-driven lessons.
- Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide targeted feedback.
- Support laboratory work and ensure safe and effective practical lessons.
- Contribute to curriculum planning within the Science and Mathematics departments.
- Support extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and parents.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Education or a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant role at an international school.
- Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE with QTS or an equivalent licence.
- Understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
- Native English speaker or excellent English proficiency both spoken and written.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to Values-based Education and Enquiry Learning.
- Experience teaching AS/A Level Physics and Science and Mathematics.
