About This Role

Aldar Education is looking for Humanities Teachers specializing in Geography and History to join our team starting in Summer 2025 or earlier if possible. This role is essential for the development of our owned and operated schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons that motivate students to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and participate in teamwork.
  • Communicate well at all levels.
  • Cultivate positive relationships within the school community.
  • Partner with fellow educators to design engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
  • Coordinate with peers and demonstrate flexibility in approach.
  • Work with parents to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students.
  • Collaborate with curriculum support staff to enhance student development where applicable.

Teaching and Learning:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the curriculum.
  • Organize classroom resources and create displays that foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver sessions that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Engage students through enthusiastic and imaginative teaching methods.
  • Observe and assess student progress according to school assessment protocols.
  • Reflect on classroom practices, making necessary adjustments to enhance learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with professionals such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists as needed.
  • Ensure the integration of Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.

Assessment and Data:

  • Take ownership of class progress.
  • Adhere to assessment and recording requirements for student development using Target Tracker.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform future planning and interventions.
  • Provide updates to parents and caregivers regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behavior Management and Duties:

  • Implement the school’s behavior policy.
  • Effectively manage classrooms with strategies that meet the needs of students, inspiring and challenging them.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority and making decisive actions as necessary in accordance with the school’s behavioral policy.
  • Serve as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students.
  • Uphold high behavioral expectations, promoting self-control and independence among all learners.
  • Fulfill assigned duties in line with school policy.

Wider Professional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in a curriculum action group to support planning, assessment, resources, and special events.
  • Participate in and assist with school events, outings, and activities that may occur on weekends or evenings.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress.
