Join us at NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG as we prepare to launch an innovative Sixth Form Centre in August 2026, offering IBDP, A-Levels, and BTEC programmes.

We are seeking passionate Secondary Teachers for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 who are dedicated to fostering student-led learning and making a significant impact.

NORD ANGLIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, HONG KONG is currently looking for a HISTORY TEACHER to strengthen our Secondary team and promote exceptional teaching and learning in History.

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of History, your duties will include:

  • Leading initiatives that boost student engagement and enhance school spirit.
  • Supporting extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Enhancing communication with parents through progress updates.
  • Delivering lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and effective.
  • Promoting creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
  • Utilizing data-driven approaches to cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Incorporating digital tools to enrich the educational experience.
  • Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
  • Creating and implementing lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and providing prompt feedback.
  • Contributing to curriculum development and maintaining quality control.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices to improve effectiveness.
  • Embodying school values and fostering a positive school culture.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree with a PGCE in History.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience as a qualified teacher in a UK or international setting.
  • History Training or a comparable qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Understanding of student learning and development, particularly in History.
  • Awareness of current educational trends in History.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broader educational developments.
  • Experience in raising standards for diverse student groups.
  • Ability to plan, deliver, monitor, and assess lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and related subject knowledge.
  • Understanding of assessment and reporting protocols.
  • Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level, and IB curricula and associated examination processes.
  • Capability to effectively integrate technology into teaching.
  • A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa regulations for employment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, including a willingness to participate in relevant child protection training.
