About us and the role

Avanti House Secondary School is looking for an inspiring
Teacher of Economics to join our thriving school community. You will teach a
subject that equips students with the knowledge and skills to understand the
world around them, think critically about complex issues, and make informed
decisions about their future. Through well-planned, engaging and challenging
lessons, you will motivate students to achieve their full potential and develop
confidence in applying economic thinking to real-world contexts.

In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum
planning and assessment, and play an active part in developing and
strengthening the Economics provision across the school. You will track student
progress closely, using assessment and feedback to inform your teaching and
ensure strong outcomes for all learners. There will also be opportunities to
contribute to enrichment activities and wider curriculum initiatives, helping
to broaden students’ engagement with the subject beyond the classroom.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact in a school that
values academic excellence alongside personal development, offering a
supportive environment where teachers are encouraged to refine their practice
and students are motivated to succeed.

School visits are welcomed and encouraged.
Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
