About This Role

About St Barnabas

At St Barnabas, our vision is rooted in 1 Thessalonians 5:11: “Through the hope Jesus inspires, we encourage one another and build each other up to be our best selves.”

We are a welcoming, caring and hopeful Church school where everyone is known, valued and supported to flourish. We warmly welcome people of all faiths and no faith. As part of the Fioretti Trust family, we are ambitious for our children and committed to creating an inclusive school where high expectations, strong relationships and excellent teaching enable every child to succeed.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reflective and committed Class Teacher to join our team. We are seeking an excellent practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning, builds strong relationships and is ambitious for every child. You will create an engaging, inclusive and purposeful classroom where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.

Whether you are developing your practice or bring significant classroom experience, you will join a school that values collaboration, professional learning and the contribution every member of staff makes to our children and wider school community.

We Are Looking for Someone Who

  • Is an excellent and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with high expectations for every child.
  • Delivers high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching.
  • Has strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and uses assessment effectively to inform teaching.
  • Understands the importance of well-sequenced learning that builds securely on pupils' prior knowledge.
  • Uses adaptive teaching effectively to enable all pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, to access and succeed within the curriculum.
  • Creates a positive classroom culture where children are Ready, Respectful and Safe.
  • Builds warm and respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Is reflective, evidence-informed and committed to continued professional development.
  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Will embrace and actively contribute to our Christian vision, values and ethos.

We Can Offer You

  • Wonderful children who are enthusiastic, curious and proud of their school.
  • A warm, welcoming and inclusive school community where relationships matter.
  • A supportive and collaborative staff team committed to doing the very best for our children.
  • High-quality professional development, coaching and opportunities to develop your practice and career.
  • Opportunities to contribute to curriculum and wider school development.
  • Collaboration and professional learning across the wider Fioretti Trust family.
  • A school where your ideas, strengths and professional expertise will be valued.
  • An inclusive Church school community where everyone is encouraged to be their best selves.
  • Free access to Wellbeing service provided by Schools Advisory Service (SAS).

Visits to St Barnabas are warmly welcomed and encouraged. We would be delighted to show you around, introduce you to our children and staff, and share our ambitions for the school.
