We are looking for a Primary Homeroom Teacher to join our Wentworth Campus (JK to Grade 7). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and dynamic educator, capable of contributing to various aspects of school life. This is a Temporary Contract position for the 2026-27 school year, commencing on August 28, 2026, with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities include:

- Cultivating collaborative and effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community
- Delivering the curriculum in accordance with the BC Ministry
- Addressing the individual learning needs of each student
- Establishing a respectful and safe environment for children
- Working with faculty members within the grade team and the school to develop innovative lessons and units using the design thinking framework
- Participating in regular Professional Development to enhance and inform teaching practices

Required qualifications:

- Bachelor of Education
- Experience teaching at the elementary school level
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- BC Teaching Certification
- Basic First Aid
- Canadian residency and legal authorization to work in Canada

- Familiarity with the BC curriculum

The current annual salary range for this position for the 2025-26 faculty grid is *$75,322 to $112,169, depending on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty members with a Master's degree will receive a higher salary. *The 2026-27 faculty grid will be finalized in late April.
