The position of Junior School French Teacher-On-Call will engage as needed to facilitate teaching and learning in the Junior School (Kindergarten - Grade 7). The Junior School is a lively, progressive community emphasizing personal excellence, holistic child development, and overall well-being. Experience the rewarding environment of teaching within a dynamic kindergarten play-based curriculum, in primary classrooms that prioritize emergent reading, writing, and numeracy skills, in an inquiry-led intermediate program supported by personal iPads, or within a specialized middle school curriculum tailored to the distinct developmental needs of preadolescent girls preparing for high school.

Responsibilities:
β Serve as Teacher-on-call for Grade 1 to Grade 7
β Provide coverage for the Grade 1-7 French program
β Leave comprehensive notes for the regular teacher after each assignment
β Assist with the supervision of students during non-instructional periods
β Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff as necessary
β Offer personalized instruction and learning support to individual students as needed
β Participate in co-curricular activities and clubs as required
Requirements/Qualifications:
β B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification
β Strong communication and interpersonal skills
β Native-like fluency and a solid command of the French language
β Experience teaching French as a second language in an elementary setting is an advantage
β Strong organizational and time-management skills
β Dedication to the philosophy of teaching the whole child
