We are seeking to hire a qualified **Assistant Head of Primary** starting in August 2025. The individual selected for this role will be part of the Senior Leadership Team and will have specific teaching responsibilities.

**Requirements:**

**Essential**
- A Bachelor's degree and a fully qualified teacher with BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent.
- At least 7 years of teaching experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a middle leadership position.
- A dedicated professional committed to raising standards in alignment with the school’s vision, mission, and values.
- An outstanding practitioner and leader capable of fostering innovative practices among the teaching team based on current pedagogy and forward-thinking initiatives.
- A teacher and leader with a natural inclination to learn, contribute to, and engage in the Arcadia Professional Learning Community.
- Proficient in utilizing digital tools to enhance learning and ensure relevance, in line with the school’s ‘Apple Distinguished School’ status.
- A collaborative professional who works well within their immediate team and across the broader school community.
- A strong and resilient individual with the ability to think strategically and creatively, capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
- Demonstrated positive impact through the use of internal, external, and other assessment data to adapt strategies, inform action plans, and enhance teaching and learning standards.
- Experience in a leadership role with contributions to successful school inspections such as DSIB/BSO.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Charismatic, credible, and professional, with a strong record of leading high-performing teams.

**Desirable**
- Experience in a senior leadership role, such as Associate Assistant Head or Assistant Head.
- Background in coaching and developing school culture.
- Proficiency in the effective use of assessment and comprehensive data analysis at the whole school level.
- Familiarity with research-based initiatives that positively impact teaching and learning.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist in the daily operations of the primary school.
- Take accountability for student achievement and outcomes.
- Lead initiatives in Assessment, Data Analysis, and Reporting.
- Build and maintain strong, positive, and professional relationships through open and frequent communication with all stakeholders.
- Uphold expectations by knowing, reviewing, and implementing relevant school policies, especially those related to the academic aspects of the school.
- Contribute to a relevant, engaging, and research-led CPD program for the primary school.
- Participate in school self-evaluation processes and prepare for inspections and accreditations.
- Establish and maintain high-quality teaching across subjects and phases, grounded in cutting-edge educational research.
- Ensure the delivery of a broad, structured, and coherent curriculum that provides world-class opportunities for students.
- Cultivate an environment where both students and staff enjoy a positive and enriching school experience.
- Maintain educational standards to prepare students from diverse backgrounds for their future educational and life phases.
- Foster a culture of professionalism among staff and encourage continuous professional development.
- Promote high standards of teaching and learning throughout the primary school.
- Lead teams such as core/curriculum enrichment subject leads, year leadership teams, and key stage teams.
- Support and implement whole-school quality assurance systems.
- Analyze data to evaluate the impact of challenges and interventions, guiding school policy and action.
- Promote and assess the effectiveness of the school’s teaching and learning policies and strategies.
- Stay informed about current developments in teaching and learning.
- Contribute significantly to the wider life of the school, including the induction of new staff, and support events, activities, and celebrations beyond the school day when necessary.
- Be supportive of UAE initiatives and cultural expectations.
