Curriculum Overview
Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, adjusted to embrace Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school offers a seamless educational experience from Early Years through to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with dedicated pastoral care and an emphasis on personal development.
The DBS curriculum across all stages is crafted to be engaging, rich, and challenging, combining academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.
Ideal candidates should possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.
•
A certified teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).
•
Outstanding subject knowledge, with significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.
•
Experience in delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level curricula.
•
A proven history of providing exceptional teaching and learning experiences.
•
A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff are expected to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
