St. George's British International School in Bilbao seeks to hire an enthusiastic, innovative, and skilled Special Educational Needs Coordinator.

Requirements:


Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with proven successful classroom teaching experience.


In-depth understanding of SEND best practices, the UK SEND Code of Practice, and evidence-based intervention methods.


Experience in coordinating support for students with diverse SEND needs, including the development, execution, and assessment of IEPs/EHCP targets.


Capability to lead, mentor, and support teachers and teaching assistants in inclusive practices and differentiation strategies.


Proficient in assessment, tracking progress, and analyzing data to ensure positive outcomes for students with SEND.


Exceptional communication skills, with a background in fostering positive relationships with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.


Strong organizational abilities, with the aptitude to prioritize effectively, manage caseloads, keep accurate records, and adhere to statutory deadlines.
