About This Role

Bloom Charter Schools is seeking a skilled and passionate School Head of Faculty, with a strong emphasis on Teaching and Learning, to join one of our Charter Schools located in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

Our Charter Schools initiative aims to serve public school students in Al Ain, within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. These schools, managed by private education providers, deliver an American-based curriculum from kindergarten through cycle three, reaching up to Grade 11, with additional grades set to be added as students advance in their educational paths.

The Head of Faculty plays a crucial role in providing professional leadership and overseeing the teaching staff to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes, while also fostering the academic growth and wellbeing of all students.

Job Description:


Spearhead the creation and execution of an impactful teaching and learning strategy that aligns with the school’s vision and improvement goals.


Mentor and assist teachers through instructional coaching cycles, modeling practices, and providing feedback to enhance classroom effectiveness.


Ensure consistent application of the school’s instructional framework (including Gradual Release, 5E, and inquiry-based learning) across all classrooms.


Examine student achievement data to pinpoint trends, gaps, and targeted strategies for improvement.


Assist teachers in developing rigorous, standards-aligned lessons that incorporate differentiation and suitable scaffolding.


Lead professional development sessions and create top-notch CPD focusing on enhancing pedagogy and student outcomes.


Evaluate teaching and learning through learning walks, lesson observations, and work scrutiny, offering constructive feedback to staff.


Guarantee effective support and differentiation for Students of Determination and diverse learners within classroom settings.


Collaborate with middle leaders to enhance curriculum planning, assessment practices, and intervention strategies.


Foster a culture of continuous improvement, reflective practices, and professional collaboration among staff.

Qualifications and Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in Education (or a related field)


8-10 years of experience in educational leadership roles


Demonstrated success in improving teaching quality and student outcomes.


Strong background in instructional coaching and adult learning principles.


Ability to utilize data to guide teaching, learning, and intervention choices.


Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to build trust, influence practice, and lead change.


Experience with an American curriculum is a plus.


Exhibit professionalism, commitment, and integrity.


Culturally aware with proficient communication skills.


Innovative, motivated, resourceful, flexible, patient, and able to persist.


Outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor.


Strong verbal communication skills.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
