Tarabya British School (TBS) is accredited by COBIS and offers a Global Cambridge Curriculum. Our teachers create lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives tailored for Primary grade levels and integrate technology such as computers and smart boards to enrich the educational experience.
We customize our teaching methodologies and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs and interests of each student. By fostering positive and supportive relationships with students and cultivating a close-knit classroom atmosphere, we collaborate with parents and school counselors to achieve the best academic and social outcomes for our students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education degree in Mathematics Education/PGCE or an equivalent qualification from your home country
- Teaching license/qualification from the UK, CA, US, AU, NZ, IR, or SA

CONTRACT DETAILS:
Start Date: August 2026
Contract Duration: 1 - 2 years (renewable)
Location: Istanbul, Turkey
Work Permit: After acceptance for the role, applicants will need to apply for a work permit from their home country. (TBS will provide step-by-step guidance and support)
Dependent School Fees: TBS teachers can access free schooling for their children
Housing: A part-furnished 1 or 2-bedroom apartment will be provided (depending on family size)
Annual Air Tickets: Annual return airfare is provided for the TBS employee only
Vacation: 6 weeks of summer holidays, in addition to national holidays and half-term breaks
Private Medical Insurance: Provided by the school for the TBS employee only; public health insurance will be available for dependants.
NET Salary: Competitive salary (based on qualifications and teaching experience)
Paperwork Requirements:
- Attested academic degrees
- Teaching qualification certificates
- ICPC or equivalent documents
- Marriage and birth certificates (including those of dependants)
