IB DP Chinese Literature Teacher

I-Shou International School, situated in Taiwan, is an engaging educational community devoted to delivering outstanding international education. We are in search of a motivated IB DP Chinese Literature Teacher to become a part of our Languages Department. This role provides a chance to teach Chinese literature (not focused on second language acquisition) at the High/Secondary School level as part of the esteemed International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP).

Candidates interested in this opportunity must possess a passport from Taiwan and hold a valid teacher registration/license that permits them to teach in public schools either in their home country or in another location.

Key responsibilities include delivering captivating and impactful lessons in IB DP Chinese Literature, encouraging students’ critical thinking and appreciation for literature, as well as supporting their academic development.

Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Chinese Literature, or a related field (minimum requirement)
- A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, ideally with familiarity in IB curriculum or international educational environments
- Proficient command of the Mandarin language and literature with the ability to engage student interest
- Knowledge of IB DP assessment criteria and teaching methodologies is highly advantageous
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues
