Position Overview:
• The kindergarten teacher’s main responsibility is to support early childhood development and learning through engaging, play-based activities tailored to meet the unique needs of young learners.
• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that facilitate social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth, while fostering a nurturing and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Establish a safe and inclusive environment where children feel valued, respected, and encouraged to express themselves and pursue their interests.
• Employ various teaching strategies and resources, including hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive play, to engage children and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Continuously assess and monitor student progress through observation and documentation, providing constructive feedback to guide individual learning journeys.
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support each child's development, maintaining open lines of communication regarding progress and milestones.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and reflective practices to enhance teaching skills and remain informed about current trends in early childhood education.
• Cultivate a passion for learning by incorporating songs, games, and creative activities that ignite curiosity and imagination.
General Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education (Early Childhood Education) or a Bachelor’s degree in any field with a Postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent, enabling them to teach children aged 3-5 years.
• Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
• Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is essential for teaching at an ESF school.
