Open to Male Applicants Only

Are you a dynamic, student-centred teacher of Computer Science and Business Studies who sparks curiosity in coding, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and digital innovation? Do you thrive in a collaborative school that values personalised learning, academic excellence, and holistic wellbeing?

At Nun Academy, we foster teamwork, creativity, and growth—making our learning community truly one of a kind. We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Computer Science and Business Studies to join our expanding Boys’ Secondary & Senior School.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and deliver high-impact lessons in Computer Science and Business Studies (KS3–KS4; KS5 including IB DP), aligned to the Cambridge/UK and IB DP curriculum.

  • Build students’ computational thinking and technical fluency across programming, algorithms, data structures, databases, networks, cybersecurity, and software development (e.g., Python/Java/JavaScript; HTML/CSS; SQL).

  • Develop strong business acumen in students, covering areas such as enterprise, marketing, finance, operations, business strategy, and global economics.

  • Use assessment strategically to inform teaching and interventions; provide clear, timely feedback to students and parents.

  • Lead or assist with co-curricular opportunities (coding clubs, robotics, enterprise challenges, investment clubs, competitions, and innovation events).

  • Contribute to whole-school digital wellbeing, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship initiatives.

  • Ensure best practice in safeguarding, inclusion, digital citizenship, and health & safety across classrooms and labs.

  • Collaborate closely within departments on curriculum mapping, progression pathways, data analysis, and enrichment opportunities.

About you

  • Degree in Computer Science/Computing/Software Engineering (or closely related field) and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/QTS or international equivalent).

  • Successful experience teaching within the Cambridge and/or UK curriculum; proven impact at IGCSE/GCSE level. Experience teaching IB DP or A-Level Computer Science and/or Business Studies is highly desirable.

  • Strong classroom practice with inclusive strategies for multilingual learners; confident use of digital tools and platforms (e.g., Google/Microsoft, Git/GitHub Classroom, coding environments, simple cloud/VMs).

  • Experience with robotics/physical computing (Micro:bit/Arduino/Raspberry Pi) and/or cybersecurity is highly valued.

  • A growth mindset, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to student wellbeing, safeguarding, and responsible technology use.

What We Offer

  • A warm, values-driven culture with high expectations and exceptional professional learning.

  • Opportunities for career development and collaboration in a forward-thinking environment.

  • A competitive international package (shared with shortlisted candidates).
