About This Role
We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our support team. The SLT is responsible for identifying and addressing communication barriers for Primary and Secondary students through neuro-affirming, multilingual, and culturally responsive assessment practices. This includes knowledge of, and the ability to use, alternative assessment methods (e.g., dynamic assessment, caregiver/teacher interviews, student input) to accurately determine student needs and distinguish between speech/language disorders and speech/language differences. This might include assessments for IB accommodations.
The SLT will provide students with individual treatment and/or group therapy to improve speech/language abilities within the school and naturalistic settings, in collaboration with teachers and support teams. The SLT will also provide in-service training for staff, parents, and community-based service providers on various topics such as Gestalt Language Development, Neurodiversity 101, and Benefits of Multilingualism, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Experience working with children in educational settings.
- Knowledge of neuro-affirming and multilingual assessment practices.
