About This Role
We are looking for a Teacher of Learning Skills to become a part of our committed team at Hereford Cathedral School. Our department specializes in offering tailored assistance to students with varying learning needs, such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and ASC. In collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues, we provide individualized sessions, small group activities, and in-class techniques to guarantee that every student can engage with the curriculum and achieve their maximum potential. We prioritize building self-esteem, nurturing independent learning skills, and encouraging a positive outlook on education. Additionally, the department plays a vital role in early identification of needs and implementing suitable interventions, while ensuring consistent communication with families and staff to track progress. The Learning Skills department will include the Head of Learning Skills, a part-time Teacher of Learning Skills and Access Arrangements Coordinator, along with several one-on-one instructors. This position will involve overseeing the Learning Skills program from Reception through Year 9. The deadline for applications is 13 April.
