Mistahi Sipiy Elementary School is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Kindergarten Teacher to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year. Located in Big River First Nation, this role is ideal for an educator ready to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement lesson plans covering a range of subjects for students.
• Evaluate and grade student performance to ensure understanding of the material.
• Maintain communication with students and parents through meetings to discuss educational topics.
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages growth.
• Align lesson plans and teaching strategies with the school's educational standards.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and identify areas needing improvement.
• Create an engaging learning environment tailored to the individual needs of each student.
• Plan and facilitate various instructional activities, including quizzes, competitions, and group discussions.
• Effectively manage classroom behavior and activities.
Qualifications:
• Strong skills in scheduling and organization.
• A Bachelor of Education degree and a valid Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate.
• Proven classroom management abilities.
• Capability to teach students with diverse learning needs.
• Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
• Cross-Cultural experience is an asset.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Submission of a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and completion of a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Verification of prior teaching experience is mandatory if applicable.
