ELA Catalyst
About This Role
Big River First Nation Education is seeking an ELA Catalyst to join its educational team for the 2026-2027 school year.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming and encouraging learning environment for students
- Promote professional development for educators
- Oversee the development and implementation of educational programs
- Support students with lesson planning, co-teaching, and mentorship
- Execute an effective literacy program that enhances reading and writing skills
- Modify lesson plans as necessary throughout the academic year
- Track and evaluate student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and adeptness in scheduling
- A Bachelor of Education degree, paired with a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
- Ability to teach students with a variety of learning needs
- Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Curriculum
- Cross-cultural experience is a valuable asset
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Capability to provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and complete a Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check
- Verification of previous teaching experience (if applicable) is necessary
