About This Role

The Principal serves as the chief executive and educational leader at UCSI International School Kuala Lumpur, tasked with fostering academic excellence, enhancing student welfare, promoting boarding, driving enrolment growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining brand integrity within a competitive international school setting.

In leading the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), International Primary Curriculum (IPC), and the Cambridge curriculum, which includes IGCSE, the Principal guarantees a seamless, high-quality learning experience from Early Years through to Secondary, resulting in IGCSE achievements and pathways for post-16 education.

In the context of a boarding institution, the Principal is responsible for overseeing residential life, student welfare, and holistic development for those residing on campus, prioritizing safety, wellbeing, and a nurturing boarding atmosphere.

The Principal advocates for a 21st-century educational framework, integrating the 5Cs — Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Character — throughout the curriculum, teaching practices, assessment methods, and co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience

· Master’s degree in Education or Educational Leadership (preferred).

· A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

· Familiarity with Cambridge International Education (including IGCSE); leadership experience with IEYC/IPC is a plus.

· A proven history of driving academic improvement, managing boarding, increasing enrolment, and developing staff.

· Strong skills in stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and digital leadership.

· Knowledge of Malaysian regulatory standards and the international school environment.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
