Join Our Team

Durham School for Girls Doha is on the lookout for an exceptional and dedicated Humanities (Global Perspective) Teacher. This role is designed to ensure that all teaching staff at Durham School for Girls (DSGD) adhere to the UK Teaching Standards (TS) while aligning their practices with the school’s MARK values, policies, and the cultural standards set by the Qatari Ministry of Education (MOE). Responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to meet diverse student needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and promoting both academic and personal growth. Staff are expected to maintain professional conduct, collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, and actively contribute to the school community. Additionally, they must ensure all teaching practices, curriculum plans, and resources align with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics. This role also involves supporting the ongoing professional development of staff, upholding school policies, and promoting student well-being and high-performance learning (HPL) strategies. Ultimately, the objective is to cultivate a positive, respectful, and effective learning atmosphere that nurtures the growth of both students and educators.

- Design and deliver captivating lessons that meet curriculum standards and address diverse learner needs.

- Plan and implement curriculum content that aligns with DSGD/MARK values, Qatari culture, and MOE ethics.

- Utilize assessments effectively to track student progress and adjust instruction as necessary.

- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages respect and collaboration.

- Maintain regular and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support learning.

- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and relevant stakeholders regarding academic performance.

- Promote student well-being by encouraging personal growth, resilience, and positive relationships.

- Engage actively in professional development to continually refine teaching practices.

- Exemplify the school’s MARK values in all interactions and serve as a positive representative for DSGD.

- Use school communication tools effectively to disseminate information, resources, and updates.

- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community-building initiatives.

- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies to ensure student protection.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

- Ensure all teaching materials, planning, and curriculum content reflect Qatari national values and MOE ethics.

Compensation
