About This Role
Doha Academy is a rapidly expanding network of schools located in the vibrant capital city of Qatar. Established in 2000, the Academy comprises three schools and provides a KG-13 education based on the British curriculum alongside the Qatar national curriculum. Our mission is to cultivate outward-looking, lifelong learners through a comprehensive educational experience that is rooted in local cultural values and traditions.
As an ambitious institution governed by Al Faleh Educational Holding, which also includes AFG College in partnership with the University of Aberdeen, Doha Academy offers excellent career advancement opportunities for staff who are driven, innovative, and focused on student success.
As we continue to grow, we are eager to connect with qualified and experienced educators who view teaching as a calling. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in their subject area along with a recognized initial teacher training qualification. We highly encourage prompt applications. Interviews will be conducted either in person in Doha or online for those applying from abroad.
This is a thrilling time to be a part of our Academy. Earlier in 2022, we achieved full Qatar National Schools’ Accreditation (QNSA), and in November 2022, we were awarded full international accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We are also on the path of our highest “ACE Learning” initiative.
The Academy is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Our compensation package includes:
- A competitive, tax-free salary
- Annual round-trip flight to your home country
- Complimentary bus transportation to and from the school
- Fully furnished shared two-bedroom apartment with on-site security
- Medical insurance
- A two-year renewable contract
- End of service gratuity
We warmly welcome applications from married teaching couples. While we do hire Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs), we do not currently offer the ECT support program.
