ROLE SUMMARY

King's College School, Cascais, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is a leading international school in the Lisbon area. We are now seeking a passionate and well-qualified Geography Teacher to join our Senior School. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons that build strong geographical knowledge, analytical thinking, and global awareness. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons that develop strong geographical knowledge, critical thinking, and global awareness.

  • Plan and implement high-quality schemes of work aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and school standards.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback to support academic growth.

  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where all students feel challenged and motivated.

  • Integrate digital tools and resources to enhance learning, research, and geographical enquiry.

  • Contribute to the pastoral care of students and support their overall well-being.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and ensure curriculum consistency.

  • Participate in school events, field trips, clubs, and enrichment activities as part of the broader school community.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • A recognized teaching qualification and a degree in Geography or a closely related field.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography and global learning.

  • Excellent classroom practice with the ability to support and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Effective organizational skills and a commitment to high academic standards.

  • A positive, flexible attitude and openness to innovation and continuous professional development.

  • Experience with Cambridge programmes or international curricula (highly desirable).

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
